Private Duplex
An Infamous Park Avenue Address
A Rosario Candela co-op duplex bathed in southern light. Original plaster moldings and an Anatolian Lilac marble fireplace remain untouched — the bones too good to disturb.
Walls finished in dusty marmorino by one of New York's finest plaster artists. A mobile pendant drops from the double-height foyer ceiling, animating the vertical space. Raw silk drapery, hand-laid Peiser wood floors in a warm nutty finish, and a vast custom silk rug by Mark Nelson Design settle the rooms into an enveloping calm.
A custom sofa of my own design — inspired by Adrian Pearsall — anchors the living room alongside a severe Fredrikson Stallard Atlantic coffee table and a pair of 1940s armchairs in Tara Chapas striped wool. Fontana Arte sconces glow soft against ivory walls.
Every piece chosen not to impress — but to dissolve, refined, into the Park Avenue light.
